Description
BTS Develops Engineering Implementation Plan for City of Pontiac DPW&U
Bristol Technical Services recently completed a project with the Department of Public Works and Utilities in the City of Pontiac to develop a long range engineering implementation plan. The DPW&U Engineering Division has, over the years, gone from a staff of over 25 people to a minimum efficient operation of three staff plus outside contractors. The Engineering Implementation Plan will define a variety of activities that will be implemented over the next three years. These activities are designed to bring the Engineering Division into the latest technologies along with increased internal staffing support.
The Engineering Implementation Plan has been developed and provides a three year program complete with staffing, technology and project requirements. The DPW&U is already starting on the recruitment of additional staff and the procurement of GIS / CAD tools for use in data conversion.
