Project Description

Regional Hydraulic Model and related GIS and Database  Systems

BTSI recently assisted Camp Dresser and McKee (CDM) in chasing and winning a large sanitary sewer modeling project for HRSD. The project required experience in GIS, database management systems, detailed hydraulic modeling, SSES and regional wet weather management planning. Using the BTSI experience with the Rouge River National Wet Weather Demonstration Project (Wayne County, MI), the CDM team was successful in winning the HRSD project. The project structure implemented by BTSI utilized a Work Order approach where work would be defined, presented to HRSD management and a portion of the total project budget assigned to the work effort. This type of project structure allows for changes especially when HRSD is under a state and federal consent order.
